Walking in the woods: the Prevostura

A few kilometers from our hotel you can reach an area of ​​woods and vineyards located in the municipality of Lessona renowned for its wine. From the road from Lessona to Masserano, at the junction for the hamlet of Castello, taking the road on the right among the vineyards, you can reach the church of San Gaudenzio, built in the 13th century in Romanesque style but completely rebuilt in the 18th century. The church is almost always open and can be accessed inside.
Continuing along the dirt road you will find the La Badina farm producing Lessona and Coste della Sesia. We are surrounded by woods and vineyards. Continuing you will reach the Prevostura farmhouse. It is located on the top of a slope and the view is magnificent. Going down you can complete the ring of the hare ride, an equipped path accessible both on foot and by bicycle suitable for everyone.
These are the woods covered by the MTB race “La Prevostura” which takes place on the first Sunday of October each year, attracting hundreds of people to our country.
