Pumpkin!
And here we are with another autumn classic: pumpkin!
In this period we use it a lot in the kitchen. Pumpkin gnocchi which we then season with butter and cinnamon or with gorgonzola and walnuts, pumpkin cream with glazed chestnut, pumpkin jam or white watermelon, which pumpkin is always!
But do you know how many properties and benefits the pumpkin gives?
First of all, it helps prevent cardiovascular diseases thanks to its antioxidant properties, while given its richness in omega 3 it reduces cholesterol and blood pressure.
Pumpkin is rich in fiber so it helps fight constipation and colitis.
The presence of magnesium in pumpkin helps both physical and mood relaxation by helping to counteract the problems of insomnia, depression and nervous hunger.
Also thanks to the potassium and the large amount of water it helps to counteract water retention.
Pumpkin seeds, on the other hand, are useful for protecting the urinary tract and counteracting intestinal problems.
Also useful in cosmetics, pumpkin pulp is used for DIY masks and creams for both body and hair.
