If we follow the road that takes us from Biella to Borgosesia (nearby Valsesia) we are surely walking on the "Strada della Lana". Fifty kilometers that plunge us into industrial archaeological finds, chimneys that send us back to a century when the second industrial revolution made Biella, a cradle of woolen mills in Italy. In Borgosesia there was the most important market lanier of the area and travelling in this site, immerses us in our history, makes us aware of our past and of our present as well. Many of these mills resisted the war, the economic boom, globalization, financial crisis and you can still hear the sirens announcing the end of a shift, the voices of the workers leaving after eight hours of work.
Quality lasts, the will of doing things well, with the best raw materials, wool, the most advanced machinery, evolution of the first textile machines brought from Manchester by Sella family. The small Lake of Viverone meets the needs of water lovers with sports such as sailing, boarding, boating, water skiing and sport fishing.

the territory morphology, allows Lessona hills to be the perfect area for mountain bike races and walks through the woods. On the first Sunday of October "La Prevostura" takes place, a mountain-bike sports event, classic at the end of the season which attracts many great names in the cycling world every year. It is an almost unique opportunity to test for the French Riviera for many champions. The track is a continuous ups and downs, without stop from the first to the last kilometer. La Prevostura, the agritourism company producing Lessona wine, was an ancient farmhouse in the past, for merchants and travelers, today it is the ideal objective for bikers who, starting from the center of Lessona, they head in that direction, facing the most challenging climb of the day. The designed itinerary allows you to retrace ancient roads frequented by farm wagons in the last centuries, now become paths suitable for MTB excursions. The race crosses hills with woods, vineyards, pastures and farms; cyclists reach ancient villages and small streams passing through one of the most evocative routes in the Biella area. July is the events month which they take place in the party area near the sports hall. Among these stands "Ratataplan", international festival of ethnic music, art and street theater that attracted many visitors for over 20 years. For wine lovers, instead, at the end of September it takes place "Ronda del Bramaterra" instead, is a walk through the vineyards tasting products and wines of our land, organized by "Proloco di Masserano".
